Football – Overview

Football, also known as soccer in some regions, is a team sport played between two teams of eleven players each, using a spherical ball. The objective is to score goals by getting the ball into the opposing team’s goal.

Players primarily use their feet to kick the ball, but can also use other parts of their body except their hands or arms, except the goalkeeper within their penalty area. Football is the world’s most popular sport, played and watched by millions worldwide.

It’s known for its passionate fan base, strategic gameplay, and iconic tournaments like the FIFA World Cup, EPL, LA LIGA, SERIE A, and UEFA Champions League, etc.

1. UEFA European Championship (Euro) – Europe

3. Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) – Africa

These are the major continental tournaments, but there are also smaller regional tournaments and qualifiers for various championships.
